Community Outreach Activities

The community outreach activities welcome applications from kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, tertiary institutions, and organisations, and participation is free of charge. Schools/ organisations can submit only 1 application for outreach activity in each academic year.

Activity formats include environmental education game booths, environmental workshops, and thematic talks, covering topics such as biodiversity, low-carbon living, food waste management, and waste reduction and recycling. Each activity lasts for 3 to 5 hours and requires a minimum of 100 participants.

For participating schools or organisations that apply for environmental education game booths, they can choose to set up 3 - 5 booths. The booth types can be customised according to their preference. If the participating school or organisation chooses to conduct environmental workshops and/ or thematic talks on the same day, a maximum of 3 environmental education game booths can be set up.

Each session of the thematic talks lasts for 30-45 minutes and has to be conducted in conjunction with an environmental workshop or educational booth.
